Safer Neighbourhood Officers completed another mini police session at Beckett’s School today as part of OP Walksafe, aimed at raising awareness of pedestrian safety within the local community.
👣 Pupils learned about the importance of staying alert near roads, particularly the risks of distractions such as mobile phones and headphones when crossing. To help reinforce this message, officers worked with pupils to use approved stencils and temporary spray paint to display the “LOOK UP” message on pavements near the school.
🛑 These markings act as a clear visual reminder to pedestrians of all ages to stop, look, listen, and stay aware when near the road — helping to keep everyone safe.
We would like to thank Beckett’s School staff and pupils for their engagement and support. Working closely with our community is key to improving road safety and keeping everyone safe. ✅
